Hey Gerald! I'm gonna forward your question onto Alice at Lifeway who can give you the official reply. Also you can check on Fuel group on facebook.

My opinion is that the videos were set up that each volume could stand on their own if a teacher so desired to teach them in whatever order they would like. Each volume attempts to introduce the characters in case it's the first viewing. However, in an ideal world you would start on vol 1, and watch the linear progression of the characters. If your students really like learning from the mis-steps of the Coffee Kids, then you've got 16 weeks of material with them. I'm assuming you're doing this tomorrow, so if you did decide to start at Vol 1 you could goto the lifeway site and download the first lesson and video of vol 1 for free! Or you can just download the whole vol. Let me know what you decide and how it works out.

How much will my Sunday school class be missing if we start with the Coffeeteria segments from Fuel Ignited volume 4 (Countering culture)? I'm teaching the high school class, but I don't have a say in what material is ordered. The purchaser saw the subjects covered and thought they would be good. I am really impressed with the production qualities of Coffeeteria, as well as how easily relatable it will be with the kids in my class. I just don't want them to miss out on anything they need to see, and hope it's okay to start at that point.
