Take Flyte

http://www.vimeo.com/21072034

Another fun marketing piece, this one to get the word out about a new pre-teen product called Flyte. This video is unlike anything we’ve done before. It involves some awesome skateboarding stunts by Levi Sweat and a lot of stop motion, which takes a bit of patience to get right.

We took over The Sixth Avenue Skate Park at Rocketown for the day and brought in 30 some kids to ride the ramps and also stand very still. You might also note this video continues my obsession with using sparks. I snuck them in at the beginning.

This video has received a great reaction from my client, their managers and upper mangers. I get this email in reaction to the video.

“Again, I can’t believe how amazing the video is. I sent it out to some of our preteen market testers that I’ve been using with FLYTE and they responded resoundingly that it definitely makes them want to buy the curriculum…”

So that’s what we’re hoping for. Help create buzz and energy for Flyte, so that the people who can benefit from it can find it.

Threads

This is part of the branding campaign for Threads, which is a college & young adult ministry for Lifeway. In our concept meeting for the video, I recommended promoting the lifestyle of the people using Threads. Like those Xterra commercials that show a man kayaking and using his SUV to get him there. Those Xterra commercials say less about their cars and more about the type of people who buy these trucks. We wanted to brand Threads in the same mannor.

We gathered a group of people that hopefully would make you wish you could hang with them, or make you want to call your friends and hit the town. We put them in diverse moments of living. Amy Jacobs wrote some great copy and then we had our actors and models act like best friends. To take it one step further, we wanted it to appear they were doing life together over several seasons. It’s not easy wearing a t-shirt when it’s 30 degrees outside, but everyone toughed it out.

Kid Rock

We were asked to retool some footage that was shot of a Kid Rock show. We took the footage and gave about 20 different possible looks to it and then changed the frame rate to give it a more cinematic style. For the preview disk we created this menu you see here.

American Broadcasting Company

So no one feels like watching anything Christmas right now but if you’re particularly festive, here’s the long form version of a video we did for the CMA Country Christmas that aired on ABC. It was our National Broadcast Television debut. Traveling to Fort Campbell, KY to talk with the families of soldiers that were apart for Christmas.

This was pretty great for us, because you know 50 million people saw it. ABC aired it twice it was so popular. We had nothing to do with all of that but we’re really glad for the little part we played.
