Discipleship, Family and Community are the pillars of Bible Study for Life. We were asked to come up with a way to depict this including multiple demographics and age groups. I had written an entirely different copy for this commercial, but I was never happy with it. I tried different combinations and then the day before our client review, I realized exactly what it should say and how we should say it. I grabbed the nearest kid and had him record our temp tracks, but it was so perfect I never changed it.
At Mayflower Elementary, grade school politics are no small thing. Scandal, Corruption and Redemption all in the life of the President. This is the pilot we created for an ongoing series.
FAMILY: Never more in history can you be next to someone you know and yet be alone. We wanted to illustrate that isolated together feeling without it being several shots of people with headphones and on ipads. Using the time lapse of people was a good way to accomplish this and when made the shots of the family communicating feel that much more warm and together.
These Three Videos are part of the Bible Study for Life Campaign to illustrate each of their three promises. Designed to illustrate the point but also could be used on a Sunday morning by a Pastor.
COMMUNITY: The Giant Sequoia illustration came from Lifeway. The idea that trees grow better stronger in groups, illustrates the points perfectly. We used the images of trees in a circle and then recreated the image with people throughout.
DISCIPLESHIP: We are planners, we plan for the mundane, for the weather. We plan for the best and worst and yet we often don’t plan to know God more.
We worked with Lifeway Kids Marketing to help churches imagine what it would be like to bring a theme park inside their building. I loved the idea of a kid wondering what was happening at church during the week when no one was there. Like maybe there was some sort of mysterious fun thing happening that they were missing.
This is the first part of the video we created for the President of Lifeway’s address to the convention. We worked with Darrel Girardier, Ed Stetzer, Trevin Wax, Jon Emery, Whit Stiles and Amy Thompson.
For the first section, our original concept was kicked back as the client wanted to see the entire Bible told as one story. It was a tall order so we turned to using great works of art.
